Perros-Guirec is a commune in the Côtes-d'Armor department in Brittany in northwestern France.
Perros-Guirec is a popular seaside resort, with beaches and opportunities for water and beach sports. It is also known for its pink granite rocks which have been sculpted by the sea into varied shapes and patterns.
The main beach is a nice sandy beach in a cove sheltered by the rocky outlets of land on both sides of the beach that have some wonderful villas built on them. Looking out across the sea you can also see a number of islands and the combination of pink rocks, blue sea and a few islands on the horizon make this very picturesque.
It is not an exciting town from a historical point of view having developed largely as a resort owing to its location. The part of the town near the beach has streets lined with palm-trees and stone villas with slate roofs.
During the summer the town is very vibrant and you will find numerous cafes, shops and a very wide range of choices of places to stay.
